He who seeks vengeance must dig two graves: one for his enemy and one for himself.

Do you ever wonder what happens to all the things that disappear, photos and comments on the internet, socks in the washer, teaspoons, no matter how many teaspoons I buy we only ever have 4. Then there are the things that disappear for months and then just reappear, you open a cupboard you have been in a million times before and there it is, the missing object, just sitting there.

I hadn’t heard this one until the other day so did a google would you go to Mars if you knew you couldn’t come back? You would have to be very brave or else have nothing here on earth.

Yawn

Opinion has caused more trouble on this little earth than plagues or earthquakes.
Voltaire

It’s 3 am and I am wide awake, listening to the traffic and trying to think what so many people are doing out at this hour of the morning, and what I did with the box for the tree eggs, and wishing I could win the lotto and move out into the country by the coast.

Still it’s a new day.

You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.

Well that’s Easter come and gone, hope yours went well.

Good Friday we spent an hour in the bag wash, (launderette), washing the quilt, I used to do it in the bath but it was such a nightmare. It’s hard work jumping up and down on a king-size duck down filled quilt in a bath full of water, not to mention lunging it dripping down stairs, down the garden, manhandling it over the line and waiting two days for it to drip and two days for it to dry, and for £6.40 and an hour out of the day, not to mention it only took 1 ½ days to dry, dry enough to put away it was well worth it. When we got back, hubby sanded off the acorns for the water feature and I had a sauna, in the green house, whilst potting on the three hundred tomato plants that have come up, ha-ha, well not quite three hundred, but close. Hubby is taking some to work for his mate, I don’t know who else to give them too. Then we painted the water feature, (not much more left to put together now). Then the best part of the day, we had a call to say sis-in-law got engaged, woo, woo, I love a wedding.

Easter Saturday we went to visited sis-in-law and I took her a bride magazine, and we sat and chatted for 3 ½ hours about wedding dresses/planning and friends and our wedding with all its disasters, then home again, I am so pleased for her and so excited.

Easter Sunday, it was a bit’s and bobs day, hubby fixed the fire, (well we think he has), and sorted the bike out, I repainted the water feature and did odds and sods around the house.

Over the holiday I cooked rack of lamb, cabbage, peas, carrots, runner beans, fine beans, new potatoes, red wine and bacon gravy, home made mint sauce, followed by home made chocolate mousse for Good Friday, and folded the napkins into bunny rabbits, (well that’s what they are supposed to be). Easter Sunday I cooked a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and folded the napkins into swans, I also cooked simnel cakes and hot cross bun bread and butter pudding. I love to play, heehee
