Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyways.
Oh I got all excited about this I have always want to see the aurora borealis but alas we are in the wrong part of the country. Did any of you see it?
Children are now lacking in vitamin D and all children and pregnant mothers should take a supplement. I don’t remember taking a vit D supplement when I was pregnant, I did however take iron which did terrible things to my bowels. I do remember however being told to ‘Take baby out for a walk everyday no matter what the weather’ you don’t see mom’s walking with babies in prams any more, perhaps that should be promoted.

I would have loved to see it but the skies weren’t clear enough around here.
As for vitamin D well I’ve given up following doctors instructions … I wasted ruddy years following what we new Mums and Dads should be doing and taking advice from Dr Benjamin Spock (who was the new correct person to follow when Graeme was wee ) and I made a complete HASH of ‘that’ – so I decided to follow my Mum’s example and instructions for bringing up baby and toddler!
Now word yet on when the advert including Lou will be shown… these things can take months … I tried contacting Blogger help about difficulty in commenting and faffed about a bit on my own… we’ll see if it corrects itself…
On my way over to see if I can comment.
It’s a shame about the lights, it must be a fantastic sight.

I tried Several times.
When I contacted Blogger I added what you said about verifcation but haven’t heard anything from them on the problem …. never mind – it corrected itself the last time so fingers crossed it happens again… Thanks anyway !
I will keep trying
I think you have to be careful not to O.D. with vit D.
Children miss out these days not being taken out in the pram from birth IMO with their Mum smiling and talking to them.
I think you are so right, I would walk miles with number 1 in his pram, chating away about everything we could see, right from birth. Now the poor little ones are taken from house to car and back again, or else sat in front of the TV, well it seems that way. Struth hark at me, I am getting old heehee
no Aurora here either, too cloudy. Just had to settle for a large glass of white!
Just as good belleek
Actually see mothers out with babies here quite often. But I do live out in the boondocks more or less on the edge of this country.
It’s a shame it’s not the same here, from what I hear and see a lot of parents just can’t be arsed with their kids
vitamin D is very important.. I wrote an article about it a while ago. and even then I was shocked to see how much I didn’t know about this vitamin..
Yes you are right it is very important, but what worries me is the way it is being reported here. The reports are making it sound as though the only option is to take a pill. I think young moms should be give the advice that I and my mother were given, take baby out everyday for half an hour, and by out I mean in the fresh air not in the car. It seems to me we have all become paranoid about getting the sun on our skin and that is half of the problem, well that and take away foods. Just don’t get me started, hahaha.
